this guitar is a TH5C Takamine Hirdae classical guitar. I bought it in Keene, New Hampshire about four years ago and have used it in pretty much every live performance since then. it came with an onboard tube preamp pickup system that sounded good but failed soon after I bought the guitar. I had the preamp/eq replaced with a newer system, which was also temperamental (and required four AA batteries!). eventually I had the preamp removed (it offended, and so was plucked out) and installed two separate passive pickups. the 1/4" jack is stereo, so the guitar can deliver two separate passive mono signals or default to one with a mono cable. I think the old preamp is around here somewhere, and if I find it I can send it to whomever purchases the guitar. it is a solid guitar.
